Jihad for Absolute Success
With in our selves and in the society around us, there are forces of good and evil. These forces of Evil are working round the clock to pull all human beings away from goodness and bring them closer to evil with a view to eventually throw them in the fire of hell which is the absolute failure (Khisara) as opposed to the absolute success (Falah) – safety from the fire of hell and achievement of Paradise after death.
In order to counter those forces of Evil, one has to work round the clock to pull oneself away from evil towards goodness. This process of constant struggle against the forces of evil is called Jihad in Islam and is a must condition for Iman/Faith and the absolute success (Falah).
Whenever one stops struggling against those forces of Evil, he will be slowly but surely pulled away from goodness towards evil, with or without his consent. There is no such thing as a status quo. At any one point, you are either doing Jihad and fighting against these forces of evil or you are being pulled towards Evil.
When we are doing this Jihad and fighting against evil, we may or may not defeat the Evil and we may or may not benefit fellow human beings, but one can be absolutely sure that one is doing a massive favour to one self by avoiding the absolute failure (Khisara) and moving towards the absolute success (Falah).
And ….If you do not fight against evil, you will eventually become a part of it and run the risk of ending up with the absolute failure (Khisara).
May Allah save us all from Khisara and help us achieve Falah.
